HOMEROOM ROCKS
We are partnering with Albert Hill and Martin Luther King Middle Schools to offer our HOMEROOM ROCKS program. This is team building and individual growth program that takes place during the school year. We invite teachers and students to face the challenges of rock climbing together along with our RISE RVA volunteers.
Students will have an entry-level indoor rock climbing experience that introduces the fundamentals of rock climbing, builds a student team environment, and fosters a continued sense of community between students and, their teachers, and the rock climbing community.
Each Tuesday RISE RVA invites various leaders within the community including other non-profit and Richmond service focused organizations to climb with our students. We believe this is important for our students and our community to interact not just outside the classroom but in an open and care-free environment.
